Travel Information – flying and car rental

If you are NOT DRIVING to Moab, know this: flying into the Moab airport is highly inconsistent. Flights are often cancelled and there may not even be a formal carrier. The two best cities to fly into and then rent a car are Salt Lake City (4 hour, 250 mile drive to Moab) or Grand Junction (1.5 hour, 100 mile drive to Moab). To get to Grand Junction requires a connection via Denver. You can also fly into Las Vegas, but then you have a 7-hour, 470 mile drive.
